國聯冠軍賽昨天在釀酒人隊主場開打，道奇隊首戰推王牌投手克蕭出馬但出師不利，加上隊友守備幫倒忙，終場由釀酒人以六比五帶走勝利，自例行賽尾聲起拉出一波隊史次長的十二連勝。
克蕭在分區系列賽第二戰登板，對勇士隊投出八局無失分，是生涯季後賽最長局數。
昨天克蕭對戰釀酒人不僅沒能複製表現，還創生涯季後賽廿一場先發的最短局數，只投三局，被敲出一轟在內的六支安打，失五分（四分自責分），吞敗投。
至於釀酒人昨天用七名投手進行車輪戰，伍鐸夫在三局上接替先發投手岡薩雷茲登板，中繼兩局無失分奪勝投，還在三局下從克蕭手中轟出追平陽春砲，成為史上第廿三位、隊史首位在季後賽開轟的投手。
伍鐸夫繞過一壘時也振奮回望自家休息室，希望激起全隊士氣，他說：「你知道的，在季後賽什麼事都有可能發生，我認為那是能帶動全隊的重要時刻。」
