時序進入秋季，又是輪狀病毒發威的季節，急、門診已經診斷好幾例案例，小兒科醫師提醒民眾，勤洗手，以降低感染的機會，同時，飯前、便後及烹調食物前，也都要以肥皂或洗手乳正確洗手，才能降低感染機率。（李明朝報導）

有關病毒性腸胃炎，最常見之一是輪狀病毒引起，壢新醫院小兒科主治醫師周志勃表示，輪狀病毒腸胃炎的症狀，患者症狀會出現嘔吐、腹瀉，接著有可能伴隨持續發燒及腹痛。從年齡層分佈來看，6歲以下孩童和嬰兒是感染輪狀病毒腸胃炎的高危險群；6歲以上及成人也會感染，症狀比較輕微。

由於幼童抵抗力較弱，周志勃醫師提醒民眾，2歲以下孩童及嬰幼兒不僅容易受到輪狀病毒感染，症狀會比較嚴重，有可能出現血便、腹絞痛，甚至意識不清、行動遲緩、嗜睡等脫水症狀；嚴重脫水及電解質不平衡也有可能導致昏迷，甚至有生命危險。

腸胃炎也可能演變成腸穿孔或腹膜炎，周志勃醫師提醒民眾，不可不慎，一旦腸胃炎等症狀，建議到醫療院所進一步檢查治療，以免延誤病情。

輪狀病毒的傳染力很強，可經由飛沬和食物、飲水傳染，避免患者與家中其他小朋友或老人長輩的接觸，居家環境衛生可用漂白水加水稀釋來清潔擦拭，同時生病宜在家休息，先不要上學，以免傳染。
